The Freeman community includes a host of churches both in and out of city limits that reflect the strong faith that runs deep in the community. While Freeman was established by Germans from Russia who held strong Mennonite beliefs, Freeman and its outlying communities include varying demoninations that range from Mennonite, Lutheran, Reformed, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian to Catholic.
